10km Trail Run

Two local runners score a unique double

 

At this weekend's MAC 10 two local distance runners, Adam Byles and Ellie O'Kane, scored a unique double by winning both the 1 mile dash and the Brooks 10 km trail run in their respective gender classes.

 

Well known athlete Adam Byles once again showed his recent good form by winning outright and, by dominating margins, both the 1mile dash and the 10 km. His times were 4.22.30 and 32.35.0 respectivley.

 

Ellie O'Kane fresh from her 2nd placing in a Honolulu (Hawaii) 13.2 km fun run demonstrated that she is a new force on the local running scene by dominating both the 1 mile and the 10 km with times of 5.11.10 for the dash and 37.49.7 for the trail run.

 

The Brooks 10 km Trail Run was conducted on revamped course so both runners have set a formidible challenge for future runners.
